Not by choice, but rather doctor's orders, no boardin for probably a month. I scrubbed hard yesterday and wrenched the ligaments in my knee. Ouch. Thank goodness for Netflix, crappy tv shows and back issues of Thrasher and Transworld...

I was skating a fun mid-sized halfpipe about 7 feet tall. I did a layback, and when coming down the wall into transition, my foot slipped off the tail. I ended up doing the splits, and twisted my knee in the process. I knew I wrenched myself good, and had to lay on my board and paddle like a surfer to get myself off the ramp.
I've got pain meds from the doctor and have been putting Icy Hot gel on my knee, and although it still hurts, it's no where near as bad as before I went to the doctor. I'm gonna take this slow and mellow in hopes to get healed up good and strong before I get back on board.
Unfortunately, I have to miss work for the rest of this week and the wheels I ordered from my buddy's shop are supposed to show up Wednesday. I was looking forward to riding those bad boys. I'm sure the wheels will be worth the wait, though.

That sucks bro ! Hope you have a speedy recovery.
I broke my ankle in 3 places back in '82 doing a Layback Grind to Tail (ala Duane) in a back yarder. I was making my re-entry, (the hardest part in my opinion) my weight was a little too far forward and the tail of my board slid out in the bottom of the transition. My feet never left the board but the outward pressure snapped the ankle that was on the tail. I was told I turned green for a few minutes, hurt like a mother.
Get well soon man.
