Grip tape

I just got done griptaping a deck for the first time doing it my self... I think that it looks cool and just wanted every one to see.

The music note looks great but you need to clean up the rough edges around the deck itself.

First, take a screw driver or some similar metal object and use it to kind of crease the grip around the edge by scraping the metal against the grip. Hold it at an angle so you will end up seeing the outline of the board through the grip just inside the true width of the board. Next take a sharp, preferably single edge razor, and follow the outline left in the grip. The easiest way is before you mount the trucks, sit on your board with the nose (or tail) facing straight out and make your cut by pulling the razor towards you at about a 45 degree angle to the top of your board. Work your way all the way around turning the board around when one end is done.

The sad thing is, I did pretty much exactly that lol i just need some practice this was my first one.

I also probably didnt take my time as much as i should have. I took so long trying to get the music note good that it was late and i wanted to hury and get it done with so i could sleep.

It does take a little practice. From the looks of it maybe your blade isn't sharp enough. Did you use a new one ? If so, you can still clean up the edges. Nice job just the same bro.
