family trip to maui april 3rd. what do you guys think of maui?

Unfortunatly Wallos is on Oahu. Maui KICKS ASS though. Black sand beaches as well as pristene white sand beaches. Killer swimming, hiking, surfing, snorkeling. Hit Bubba Gumps in Lahaina, killer food. Take the snorkeling cruise out to the Molokini Crater, it's a submerged volcano with just a little half moon of the tip sticking out of the ocean. On the boat ride out you'll see dolphins, sea turtles and maybe even whales. Check this site.

You've got to do this if nothing else. They drop anchor right at the mouth of the crater, have all the gear you need. It may be the most beautiful place I've ever been. Your swimming with so much sea life it's really unbelieveable.
They BBQ lunch on the boat, it' unreal. Shit, I could go on forever. One more thing, there's a famous old surf school in Lahaina next to Lahaina Shores resort. Rent a board and hit the little break right out front. Very casual. This on the other hand is North Shore Maui in the winter, a wave called "Jaws".

I've been there many times (since my son Joeys mom, my ex is a Hawaiian Native) and will be going back again someday. You'll have a blast. Everytime I go there I swear I'm gonna move there, maybe I'll retire there. Have fun bro.
