yeh they are called mini decks. They are about the size of a normal deck without the concave.

ummmm no. mini decks are like 7.5 wide and under. and they do have concave. but yes he should probably get a mini deck. just go to a shop and ask what mini decks they have or look for a deck that is under 7.5 on the internet.

Being under 7.5 doesn't even mean it's a mini. My shop boards are 7.4 and they're not mini's.

For some reason, the mini decks I've seen cost more than an average deck.

I'd go with a Flip mini.

IMO, Flip mini's are HORRIBLE!

If you need a really small mini, I say get the Eric Koston 13th Anniversary Mini Deck. My buddy has one, and it really is tiny. It's 7.1 inches, or 7.0, around there. And it is about the size of my board, except minus the nose and a half of length.

I think it's too small for me, but it would work awesome for a little buddy such as your brother. Check it out on Blackholeboards.com

what i meant by that as in the length of the mini deck (including concave) is as long as a normal deck without concave. My bro has a voltage mini. The whole complete only cost him £40 which is the price of a normal deck on its own.

Exactly!

On my friend's mini, as previously mentioned, I can flick a Kickflip with my big toe, it's awesome. I think it's just really hard to Ollie stuff on it though, because my back foot keeps landing half on/off the tail cause it's so small.

But for a little feller that wouldn't be a problem.

Theres a dicks sporting goods about 30 seconds from were i live and they have and intire wall of skateboarding aperral (everything from trucks to helmets) and they have a bunch of birdhouse complete decks and birdhouse makes minis but they are more expensive cuz they require a completely diffuernt machine to make them
