i think ima stoip skatin cuz liek i SUCK!!!! and plus i never have time to skate anymore im either at skool or working or sumthing. and ima be in a band (hopfully) soon so that will take up what time ill have and i cant fit skating in anymore. im prolly stupid for stopping but im not imporving and i dont skate for a long time and then forget how to do things and have to learn them over again. so i think ill stop and be done.

same here...but im not gunna quit, my board is my mode of transportation...when its not snowwy. i SUCK hard. no seeriously i do. i've been skating for more than a year and can basically only ollie...yeah....and i get really pissed off...and especiay since the winter is here, i think i'm gunna abondon my board for a while...but not anytime soon...

Yoy can easily go back skating, there's no such thing as quiting skateboarding, becuase it a free for all sport.

whaa? why'd you start in the first place? if it was to have fun, i had fun even just practicing ollies. You probably just started skating to be popular, or cool like so many people nowdays, who load up on skate apparel, and then quit within a matter of months...

Ya, many of my friends skate to be cool, be in the crowd. Gain popularity, and etc. The list will go on for the benefits of skating... its like a style now.

okie for one i didnt start skatin cuz everyone else was doin it but if it will make you happy ill say i did just so you can be happy for yerself. i started cuz i like the sport but the thing is finding time for it.

Ive been skating 2 and a bit years and I suck... i cant 360flip or jack shit.. its just for fun and transport. some of you guys miss the plot of skating you can skate for 40 years and still not be able to drop a vert but who cares? another thing you naturally progress in skating as you go along, if you just skate everyday for like 2 hours, and you go skating at the weekend you will try stuff thats like 2 inches higher than those last set of 3... then you think wow, maybe i can ollie a 4 set, so you try them. Just think how long some skaters have been skating and then think about it again, some of them 15 years they naturally progress.. cmon 15 years!!! thats my lifetime here! just dont stop.. 10 minutes of skating is better than nothing

my theory is that if you keep devoted to skating, and never stop, you could go pro. it doesn't matter if you suck, just stick with it and never quit. so many people quit, thats why everyone thinks its hard to go pro. it not, really, it's all building on your trick vocabulary. like i said, never quit, and you could go pro someday. like yesterday. me and chris (globesk8er) were skating, and he just got boardslides down, and he says "i'll practice 50-50's" and by the end of the night, he was doing crooks.

ive decided to just stop for awhile and if i wnat to start again i just got a new board for christmas so when i start up again ill have sumthing new to ride ((lol))

well...if you suck AND don't like it, I say quit if you want to. You don't have to force yourself to do something if you don't like it. Some people suck and still like to skateboard cuz they know they're improving their technique and everything, but if you really don't like it, quit.
