drawing on your board

there are alot of people who get a paintmarker and draw on the griptape on there board. mostly graffiti or what skate crew there in but some people just draw a skate co. logo or something like that, does anyone else do that?

In one of my decks, I cutout my own symbol, and some lines, later I spraypainted the RDS logo on it. Then on my last deck, I got a blank, so I covered it in stickers. I just got another blank today, and I just drew my symbol on it, the volcom symbol, my skate team name, and our saying. I did that in permanent marker.

I'm going to try and stop marking my boards up now. I just got a new Enjoi and I'm trying to keep from marking the ****er up.

i made a darkstar full force (y'know, the knight's helmet) cutout on my griptape and i colored in the exposed wood with dark black ink and it looks awesome. what i'll do next is get a small sticker and cut out a section in the griptape the same size and put it there. what ya hafta do is BEFORE you put the grip on, trace the sticker on the paper backing of the griptape and cut it out with a hobby knife then grip your board normally.

Yeah,but I've had so many experiences of messing up and making the board look totally screwed up. One time I tried to do a Volcom sign on there and it looked like...like something screwed when I was done.

My enjoi has dog shit all over the grip tape. It looks disgusting and it isn't the least bit attractive. Little specks of it all over the place. I stepped in dog shit and it got all over and then I skated with it on there. God I fricking hate poop. lol

i know how you feel, hullo. i had stepped in a little gob of poo before and after a while i looked at my board and thought it was just mud (until i smelled it!) i got an old towel, got it wet and scrubbed it off. it didn't seem to affect the grip, but anyway, i sprayed it with some of that stuff that people use to clean dog residue off carpets and now my board smells like um... some kind of country pine/wintergreen stuff...

Silver or Gold Paint marker is the shit. Usually always have my tag on my tail. I always have one line running on the right side of my board, it's a tradition. But I have done a lot of weird grip jobs at my buddies shop.

I just got a new Lib Tech, so i used my old board and set it up with my old stuff and sprayed the whole thing silver. The grip kinda gets less grippy but barely, i can still do everything i can on it. But i made stencils and sprayed them black. The board itself looks pretty cool.

I always have one of the following on my board.

If it's a new board I always put my skate teams name on it, in the design I made. If it's just a deck I'm skating because I broke my other one or something, I spraypaint "Sorry" on it. I beat the shit out of any board I don't get new, so it's like I'm sayong sorry or something. Kinda cheesy, but it's kewl if you seen it.

man i always draw on my griptape with whiteout or markers or something and end up making it look absolutely screwed. so then i have to break it. i've never done a good grip art job, so on my new toy machine deck i promised myself i wouldnt do anything to the grip except for the line i cut in front of the back bolts.

Apparently, this is very popular...one of the guys at the shop where I purchased my board was doing a camo grip tape design on some dude's board....it looked REALLY cool because the undertape color was a dark green.

you can do whatever u want to your board and grip in terms of writing on it and like spraypainting and whatnot but when u start to cut out griptape to put a design or a sticker in there u should make sure it isnt off of a part of your baord that you will need grip to do tricks on

i usally always do it. my blind had a red anarcky adio logo. and my flip sprite devil. i cut arond the flip. not like a squar i cut around each letter. on my new board i just have a cut through the bottom. i might draw a flip on it idk
