At the moment I'm riding Grindkings. I love the allen key kingpin and want another pair of trucks suitable for a 7.75 deck that won't catch up griding. My Grindkings also have lost there ability to turn, when I lean they don't go back into position properly and cause the board to turn. They have just worn out really.

So far I'm looking at Krux 3.5 (3.5 meaning they are for 7.5-7.75) and maybe the 3.5 downlows (allen key, lowkingpin). Opinions? But because I'm used to a fairly high truck, will I need riser pads with the downlows?

i dont think that the downlow part has anything to do with how high they are. i think that just means that the kingpin is downlow because i had some trucks before my DLs and they seemed lower to me.
