Well, i decided to get an urf deck because i thought that the graphics were pretty cool looking... and they had a sale. I havent skated it yet, but i will write about it when i do get done skating it.

First thoughts:

wow... the graphic is just a sticker.

it seems to have pretty low concave. but it might just look that way because it came warped.... (i dont think that anyone can blame the company for it warping though.)

so i will write in this thread again when i get done skating it.

this kid i've known since the fith grade is sponsored by them too. he sucks and is the biggest fag i've ever met though. he honestly shouldn't be sponsored by anybody.

hows the board coming around lucky? what's are your two-week thoughts on it?

Hey,

Sorry to hear that you may have received a defective deck. Why didn't you contact the shop immediately when you opened your box and unwrapped a warped deck? We have no email from anyone stating they have received a warped deck. Plus, it would be extremely difficult for a deck to warp in shipping. They are pressed under extreme conditions and shipping a deck doesn't fall under extreme conditions. Send me a PM with your full name and the email you created your account with as well as a picture of the deck. We will check it out for sure. From what I've gathered, you still decided to grip it and set it up which I wouldn't do if I got a defective product so I'm not sure why you chose to rather than contact us and get it replaced immediately. We would have gladly replaced a defective deck. Our manufacturer would have replaced it for us. No problem. My guess is that it's possible that your trucks or wheels (if you are using old ones) may be off. I just showed a friend that his wheels had worn down unevenly on his deck (not a URF deck) because on flat surfaces one wheel would spin while the others were squarely on the ground. Anyway, send me the PM.

Thanks

First off i want to clear one thing up: After URF10 saw this thread, i pm'ed him and he said that they would have given me a new deck if i sent it in because its warped but i already put grip tape on it so that is completely my fault. Because i already put grip tape on it they are giving me a really good discount on my next deck i get from there. which i will be doing because of the way it skates.

I finally got to skate the deck today and the pop is really good and the deck was snappy (like the opposite of soggy) and it feels really solid. i just did some flat ground. Im not going to say anything about the shape (because its warped) untill the next deck i get from there. this is the first day that i have skated with it but i really like it. i will keep posting in this thread after ive skated it for a while.

I took the URF deck to the skatepark the other day and i have more info. I tried to boardslide a flat bar, and the board stuck because the graphic isnt just paint. its like a sticker thing. not completely sure exactly what its called but its pretty much just a sticker. I know the rail didnt just need wax because everyone else was doing fine. it seemed to not stick on feebles and smiths so i did a few of those and the graphic got torn up/scratched up really quick. I will have more info on it when i discover more stuff.

yeah. shipping prices are gay (everywhere). oh but i have some good news for my deck. i tried this new thing called wax on my deck and i could actually slide. its amazing. so yeah. just use a little wax and it slides perfect. i was just too retarded to try it.

Ok, after the 6th day of skating my URF deck, it broke. im pretty bummed out about it. I usually never break decks. i switch flipped a 2-3 ft (66 cm-1 meter) ledge and i hear a crack. i looked down and the tail broke. it was a pretty good deck for the few days i had it.

That's not cool, guy... Sorry to hear that. It definitely sounds like the wood was defective. It's not normal for decks to warp so the wood the deck was manufactured from may have been rotten. It happens sometimes. They make millions of decks and from time to time, bad decks get past them.

Send me a photo of the split deck and I'll take care of it... No worries. Make sure you show me where the deck split in the photos, ok?

And yes, just a little wax will send that board flying like a maddog! :-6:

As far as the shipping goes, the pricing is normal to the US shipping. They raised their prices (not happy about that) this past May and got rid of the cheaper shipping rates. But it's really not that expensive. And I sent some decks to the UK and they were sent to two people who split the shipping... Worked out fine.

So, send me the pics (PM me) and I will get you hooked up and get you a new deck.
