I got a pair of cheapy Air Walks from Payless and a pair of Circas that some guy I train with gave me. I was excited to wear the Circas because they were probably more expensive, therefor, better. Well, I went skating for a bit while wearing the Circas and they have absolutely no board feel at all and are very stiff. I really think my cheapy Air Walks are better.
I'll probably just use my Circas to wear around that way my Air Walks will last longer. Thoughts?
P.S. I'm not sure what kind of Circas I have. I tried doing a search and they look somewhat like this:

You gotta let the circa's break in, of course they're going to be stiff at first. BTW more expensive doesn't always mean better.

Were the Circa's new? If they are I'd break them in first.
Really, the only skate shoes I'm willing to buy are the skate shoes from Sport Check, not as expensive and last long (for me), so the Airwalks might be fine for you.

He just gave you shoes? Cool.
I had a similar pair to those pictured, Circa Appleyard and like all shoes, they were very stiff to begin with but once I broke into them they had great board feel and felt really grippy.
If you walk around a bit first, that will soften them up then they wil lbe better to skate.

Yeah, he just gave them to me. He never even wore them outside. They're like brand new. He said he bought them and then didn't like them, because they were too bulky.
Good idea about needing to break them in. I was probably too critical of them at first.

Look at the inside of the toung, circas shoes are always model labled in numbers and names sometimes. i.e. AL 805, 303, etc.
I'm not a huge fan of circas but, they are alright. Chances are they are better than your airwalks, but don't judge a shoe on price.

I think the number is CX205.
BTW, I skated them a little bit more today after wearing them around the house and I'm liking them better.
