I just got a metal rail (Factor-X) for X-Mas. I havn't skated it yet because I am sick. When I go to skate it, should I wax it right away? How long will the wax stay on the metal. Sorry I don't know about this. I am used to skating PVC pipe.:D

Ummm, I waxed mine a little when I got one a year or two ago. If it's painted then it should be semi-slick already, try boardsliding or 50-50ing it for your 1st tricks to test how much wax is needed.

test it every now and again and decide if it needs wax

at first it might stick alittle depending on your deck, if your deck is waxed it should slide pretty good but it its not then you might wanna apply wax to wanted slidability, also if its treated wax it anyways

Hey I got the same rail. Mine's a blue round one. When I first got it I tried boardsliding it. Didn't need wax but every now and then I wax it.
