how many of you when filming try and get the perfect angle to make it look 'professional'. i was just wondering becaause local flimers always spend about 30 mins working out the best angle to film the sk8er from.

so how many people spend ages trying to figure out the best angle or doyou just experiment like i do:rolleyes:

i have a kinda "gift," i can just see the cool angles pretty fast. even though we don't have a camera yet, i look for good angles for when we come back with a camera.

uh...30 minutes is way too long, 3 minutes is way too long.

pretty much if you're shooting fisheye as long as you can see the skater and what the skater is skating on, then you're ok as long as you dont have to move the camera too much.

long lense is a different story though, it may take a minute to get a good spot, a tree or over hanging...maybe through some trees, anything where you can see the whole object and the skater at the same time. dont forget the rule of thirds either.

what rule of thirds eye?
Anyways, when i get an angle it would usually take a minute. 30 minutes is quite long. But i cant blame them. When photographers take pics, that want creativity in every trick and angle.

when i first saw this thread, i thought it said "angels" so i was reading what you said and i was like 'what the crap?'. I say screw the angles, i never get um right, so why worry too much. I like coming diagnal to any trick.

I'm just learning how to film and I'm getting ok. I'm starting to learn how to get the angles down.
