i have the opportunity to get a barely-used 02 or 03 element deck with venture trucks for a very reasonable price...like, less than $20...were elements crap in 02 or 03? i might just go for this deck anyway...any opinions?

just get it.
the trucks alone should be at least 20 bucks.
and i think element was on giant in 02 or 03.
i may be wrong though.

I don't know man. Wood sitting around for that long, would get moisture in it.

Just get it and sell the Element to some die-hard element fan for more than it's worth.

if this helps, i prolly won't be using it for tricks and stuff...IF it is used at all for parks or whatever, it'll only be in a mini-ramp...i'm thinking either re-mount the trucks on the kicktails and try it out for a sliding deck, or cut it up and use it for a slalom board

Just get it. $20 is pretty good for any deck, exspecially if it comes with trucks.

get it as some element can actually be good. or you can throw some soft wheels on it and use it as a filming board.

Element isn't the worst. There's a lot of worse decks out there.

I'd buy it just for the ventures.

its a deck, and trucks. i would get if for sure.
if you find someone you could make twice as much off the element and sell it to someone. well if its a old graphic sell it on ebay or something.

or throw on some rictas or softer wheels and make a great, cheap filming board. plus, since it's an element, you don't have to feel guilty about not bringing out it's full potential.

Yeah I seem to recall Element being pretty good back in the day ( a few years ago)

i'm using one of element's old board model like probably 01 or 02 model
and i think its pretty good and has alot of pop not like the new element which is kinda soggy
