I got a new kicker ramp for X-Mas and it's like 2 1/2 Feet tall and pretty steep. I have never jump off of a ramp with this height & steepness. Is there any tips? Usually when I try, the board comes up in between my legs and I hope not to land on it and I just fall.

Okay here's what I think helps the most.
1. Make sure the kicker is really sturdy and doesn't move around to much because then if you the kicker moves when you try and ollie off of it then you're pretty much screwed.
2. Get lots of speed and don't be afraid to ollie off of it.
3. Right when you get to where it arcs up just ollie as high as you can and suck your legs up. If that doesn't work then just try and find a spot where you can get better air off of it. Land smooth and absorb the impact.

Yeah it does help. I'm sorry I forgot to include that in my post. Thanks for reminding me Tyler.

try rolling off the end going progressively faster until you're doing little ollies off the end without knowing it and you'll be able to progress to doing big ol' danny wainwright ollies off that baby!
p.s. a 2 1/2 foot kicker?? jeez that thing is connected to a funbox, right? most kickers i've come across were no higher than 1 1/4 feet high...
