i'm wondering what the durometer is on the purple bushings that come on venture trucks...they're harder than all get out, got my trucks loosened so the nut's almost falling off and i can still not turn enough! (i like my trucks like i like my women: loose, curvy, and squeaky)

it doesnt really matter, as long as you know theyre too hard. get some different ones.

oh trust me...they're not...
remember? i'm the resident longboarder, so all my bushings are low 80's duro...except one set of black doh-doh's that i have...and those red khiros

stock venture bushings are hard. the red 92a will be insanely softer

okay here's a question:
after i got looking at my ventures and making a few bushing swaps, i discovered something. the front truck had reddish bushings, and the back had dark purple bushings. the red felt softer than the purple.
and then, i got looking around skatewarehouse.com and discovered something else. venture superlight highs have the purple bushings and the superlight lows have the red ones. i'm planning on carefully observing the trucks themselves later, but would a low front truck and high rear truck make a noticable difference? think it's possible that i actually did get 2 different types of trucks?

my Ventures are a whitey yellow colour... the colour of new wheels? They were shite for months then suddenly they became fantastic. I've never know a pair of bushings that took so long to break in.

bones bushings rock! (i run soft hardcore fronts in my slalom setup and medium rears)
actually right now i got red khiros on bottom and the reddish venture on top up front, purple venture top out back.
got the venture bottoms acting as tops on my downhill speedboard...man does that feel nice with tracker stim bottoms *drools*
id say it would probably be quite noticable. and sure its possible. people make mistakes.
yeah i'll definitely check out my trucks now. on low trucks, is it just the baseplate that's different? or is the hangar/pivot smaller too?

Watch the kingpin heights, in comparison to the err rail. (the bit you Grind on)
follow these hyperlinks to see;

Low (http://www.skatewarehouse.com/viewlarge.html?PCODE=VSLSLLT&large=SI)
My Thunder bushings are 95, and they're all right, so I guess they're good..
