FIVE BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR??!!??? Here I was supporting Aussie brands, thinking they'd go broke if I didnt..

"In more mainstream sports like baseball, basketball and soccer," whoops! Skatebrding is not a sport!

While the equipment failure was a mark of honor for Jack, it was also a breaking point for his mother, Mary Ann, who had bought the Element board for him for Christmas. She made him buy his replacement board -- he chose a $130 one from Mystery Skateboards -- on his own. "I bought him one. That was it! I won't buy him another one," she says. "If he wants to go get a job, that's up to him."

And which deck was this?

blank decks are actually hindering the industry pretty harshly

Just spray paint the bottom and make a stencil for the top. Now it is individualized.

That was the most bullshittiest and most hypocrytical thing I have ever seen. Plus, it's from dwindle, so you shouldn't be trusting what they say in the first place.

I like how that faux ad talks about the quality of blanks being crappy, but my House Special blank is probably just as sturdy and durable as your top-of-the-line pro board. I have gotten so pissed off that I've thrown my board across the drive way trying to break it and other than me damaging the grip tape from it sliding, nothing busted on it. Not to mention that I'm still learning ollies and punishing the shit out of it every time I land wrong.

Seeing that image just made me never want to get a pro deck out of spite.

the big thing in the forum where i found that article is how, right now skateboarding has levelled off technology-wise...so the next thing is to go less expensive.

i can dig up the link and post it here if y'all wanna read it...someone just PM me to remind me to put up the link
