The tail is the smaller, shallower side, and the nose is the larger, steeper side with more concave. it'd be hard to show in a picture.

there really is no difference, it doesn't matter to me anyway, tail, nose, I use both ends all the time.

true it shouldn't really matter which way round you have you oard cause of nollie tricks, the nose is steeper than the tail although i'm not sure why.. can any1 tell me?

switch isnt the stronger side thats why.. when you nollie it is a switch fakie ollie yeh.. and you need more pop on it to get it up off the ground... usually.

Yeh Bigger is the noseiage :)

Heh, when I first noticed the difference, I thought I had a weird board. Then I found out it was normal. I only use my nose for nollie tricks. I use my tail for switch, fakie, and regular.

i dont usually care which side is my tail cause my board is thrashed before i can tell which side was bigger or smaller

i can never tell which is which.

i can tell because i put a line near the back bolts in my griptape when i first grip my board. plus the nose just feels weird, so if i accidentally have the tail forward i just do a shuvit to get it back to normal.

I have to use my board with the nose pointing forward. My back truck has really bad bushings and it turns wierd if I'm not paying attention and I switch my board up, but that usually doesn;'t happen ;)

Habitats and Alien Workshop boards have the same size nose and tail. There's no difference.

they have hardware where you can put two silver bolts or whatever in the front so you can see which is the nose. I think shortys silverados does that and pig and lucky and stuff

Shorty's has 2 silver, Lucky has 1 green, and I don't know what Pig has 'cuz their hardware sucks ass.

Nah Ryan, I have the (new I think) Anthony P. board. The nose is different. Same with all the other AWS I've had. Habitat though, I can agree.

When I just got my board, (AWS Ultralite Initialize), the guy at the shop applied the grip tape in such a way that there is a little sliver of blue (original under-tape deck wood) with "(Alien Workshop)" written on it: They call that the 'tail marker.' *AND, it looks SWEET* Its handy I s'pose, I advise if your THAT concerned on which side is your tail, to put a sticker or something close to it

How do people say " I dont see the difference " or " i cant find out how i can see the nose from the tail "

cos when your board lands upside down the print is written in english text.. we read left to right.. so if its upside down u got it the wrong way round lol

It's so easy to see the difference you dumbasses. Just put a slit in the back of your tail. Or put n for nose and t for tail on the different sides of your deck with white out.

Why is there a need to tell what the nose and tail is? So one side can get flat as hell and the other don't? I don't skate my board any special way. Whatever way it gets put on the ground is the way I skate it.

i used to have an AWS animobile logo deck and the nose and tail were shaped the same but the tail was a little smaller, but not by alot. my bro has a habitat Getz sea survey deck and the nose is quite a bit steeper and bigger and the tail is kinda pointed. it reminds me of an element i had. on my darkstar, the nose is steeper but the tail is longer. weird.
