how to tighten trucks?

How do u tighten trucks? DO u have to remove the trucks from the deck in order to tighten it or can you tighten it while the truck is still on the deck? What kind of tools do u need, and where can i get that tool? Can someone give me a good description on how to tighten the trucks, and please try not to use words like kingpin and stuff cause i dont know what they are

im going to use the word kingpin.

its the big fat bolt that the bushings (the squishy colored things) are on. the top of the kingping has a nut on it.. its the biggest nut on the trucks, right in the middle. tighten/loosen that, and that will tighten/loosen your trucks.

all you need is a wrench that size, or a skate tool. you could go to a shop if you want.
