Photoshop 6 and 7 are virtually the same.
By upgrades do you mean hardware, that is what it sounds like.
Go to your local computer store or check out the yellow pages...

I'm a Paintshop Pro boy all the way..screw that Photoshop crap. I can use Photoshop perfectly well, but PSP was the first Image editing program I ever used. If you give me a copy of the new PSP (which I am so to be buying), I'll give anyone with Photoshop 7 a run for their money. Photoshop is much more "prestigious", but someone who knows how to use Paintshop Pro well, will survive just fine in the editing world.

psp is kinda well not as usefull say you want to import a .psd file into your video. you cant make them in psp. which psd files are alot better and smaller kb size then any other format ive used. ive only used tiff gif jpeg and psd but you cant make them in psp so its a loss

You can save files in PSP as .psd's. A lot of professionals prefer Photoshop over Paintshop pro, which is fine...but no one here makes a living creating graphics...and if they do, then no shit an amateur won't stand up to them.

It's just like HTML editing. Although it's been a long time since I designed anything, before, if you would have given me Notepad, and a bit of time, I could have kept up with anyone using a $500 editor. Now my skills are nowhere as sharp as they used to be with editing as they used to be, but as I said "give a run for their money". Go find a pro that uses PSP..and a Pro that uses Photoshop, and I'll admit there's a good chance the Photoshop pro will outdo the PSP user, but PSP is definently a contender...and the margin of victory would be due to Photoshops design, not higher skill.

BTW: Nice site, http://www.trippedphoto.tk/ .
