I just turned on my computer and for some reason everything on the screen was bigger, like it was meant for a bigger screen(And not for my tiny screen). The toolbar, the icons on the desktop, everything.

The first thing I did was go to properties and click on the settings tab, to change the screen area, but the slider thing isn't responding, it's not moving.

The next thing I did was use system restore to restore it to a few days back when it was normal, but that doesn't work either (no changes were made to my computer).

I dont know what's happening and I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help? I'm currently using windows me if that helps.

go back to that properties thing, and try troubleshoot, or play around in err Advanced.

That's exactly the problem. The thing to change the screen area doesn't move.

Also, what's safe mode? Might be the problem.

If you hit a certain button (one of the F ones) when youstart up it puts you in safe mode. Safe mode is a really basic way of running the computor and everything goes really big and you can only use certain programmes. I haven't done it for ages so check google how to get off it

You are most likely in safe mode. If you aren't, follow HailtotheThief's advice and get your drivers for your monitor again. If all else fails, reinstall windows.

Throw your computer out the window.
Or look for a driver.
