in a bs 180 (or any rotation) dont you, if a regular skater, spin counter clockwise? and in a fs 180 you spin clockwise?

other way, buddy. fs if your regular you are turning your front shoulder to the left, and opening up, sort of. bs you are turning your front shoulder to the right and sort of ducking away.

you have it backwards. if you're regular, frontside is where you spin counterclockwise and B/S is the other way.

f/s is when ure spinning, ure facing forward, b/s is exactly the opposite. if ure goofy ure spinning clockwise for a f/s, spinning counter for b/s. On grinds and slides, if the target is behind u, ure doing a b/s, in front of u f/s

with rails, if your back is to the rail before you ollie onto it its backside, and if your facing the rail before you ollie onto it its frontside. so a backside boardslide your facing forward, in the direction that your going.

as far as spins go, you're always facing the way it says. FRONTside 180 you're facing the way your going, or you front is to it. Backside's the opposite. This applies to ollies, switch ollies, and nollies. but not fakie, fakie if your facing toward the way your going it's a half cab. but if your back is the way your going, then it's a fakie FS 180.

people mix them up because they think of "frontside" as turning forward

OK if ur frontside ne thing then ur gonna do it with ur toe edge, like frontside spins ur toes go forward, and for slides ur toes towards the rail, thats why in transworld in the termite ad a while ago they say the dudes doing a frontside 5-0 but it can only be backside with the runup he has, but then again, i think most of the ads are just kids getting pictures while they look like there doing the trick.

do the same rules still apply if you are going fakie? (if I do a frontside half cab would I be spinning toward my heel?)

if you were doin that yeah. but theres no such thing as a frontside half cab, i dont care what smithandfeeble says. thats just a fakie frontside ollie.
