Ok so i wanna learn varial heels, and i can spin em, but they always go behind me. So i figure theres a problem with my fs shuvits. Thing is whenever i do my fs shuvits if i land em i dnt roll away properly, or land in a nose manual (then fall off). Some guy at the buszy sed there were problems with my action, so im tryin to work on that. But if you guys could figure anythin else out it wud help. also foot positioning? Cause what i do is almost setup like for a heelflip (my heels, fs shuvits, and fs 180 foot placements are practically all the same) and then pop back foot, scoop slightly and use my front foot to put in some power as well. Anyways all help will be appreciated.

Yeah I have the same problem. I have to jump back just to keep the board under me and in doing so I somehow stop myself rolling.

Well, varial heel flips will take you alot more practice than FS shuvs, but basically for FS shuvs, you can set up like heel flip, or more centered, just depends. You're popping and scooping out with your back foot, and your front is giving a slight little scoop, then you're sucking up, front foot steez, and roll away. Akward trick at first, but it's fun.

well with my frontside shuvs i had that problem until i figured out it helped ME ( i dont know if this will help YOU) well what i do is i push it out in front of me and i land one footed for like a split second and then i put my back foot down. that is how i got to learn fs shuvs. i can every now and then do a heel varial but not that often

Well, for fs shuvits, I learned them by first getting the scoop thing right, and spinning them correctly. Then make sure you kinda jump backwards so that you land on the board.

thing is i catch it with my front foot (as you should) but the tail (now nose) slams straight down. If you understand.

make sure you distribute your weight. it sounds like you have all the weight on your front foot since your landing on the nose. the same thing happened to me as i was learning them, and just even your weight, and also you might need to pop it better. once you get em down there as easy as regular pop shoves.

my FS shuv's took a while. but i just practiced a few everyday and now their basically nothing to me. same with nollie FS shuvs, i actually have an easier time doing nollie fs shuvs than reg. but with the varial heels are you talking reg or fakie?

fakies are much easier, try doing them.:-19:
