Depends on what size you get. Also on its speed and SATA rating etc. You in the US or the UK?

Thats RAM. It wont add any memory to your harddrive, but the more RAM you have the better your pc runs basically. Open programs are stored on RAM so when you switch between them, they come up faster. When you buy ram, you should try and get it in the same size pairs and the same type e.g. PC2100. You need a harddrive desperately as well.

Fradlands is a local skate-company round here. I'm really chill with them. It was on a badge.

With all these posts and replies you still aren't clear on what you want. Did you want more hard drive space for storing your porn? Or did you want more virtual memory so your PC runs faster?

more virtual mem

You really want a new hard-drive as well. Just get both man!
Without a good hard-drive, you run out of storage space.
Without RAM your basically fooked.
Also, when RAM fills up it uses an area on your hard-drive as a secondary storage are for running processes. Hear that noise and the red light on the front of your PC going crazy? Thats cause information is being swapped in and out of your hard-drive at an alarming rate.
Virtual memory then right? Ok, then check this out http://crucial.com/ Use the option on the right. Simply put in our manufacturer, etc, and bam. It's straight forward plug-and-play. When it comes, open up your computer, put em in the empty slots, and you should be coo.
It knows the max amount of memory your computer can hold and recommends for you the best option. I upgraded mine from a standard 512 mb to 1.5 gigs of memory for only about $60, runs like new.

It usually is directly underneath your cd drive... however, your comp looks weird on the inside, so this is my suggestion. Find your cd drive... thats not it. Find your floppy drive... that's not it. Well anything let in the front should be a harddrive. They usually look like so, for your computers age...

It's pretty easy to find.

well if you look closely there is a unplugged cord. If i unplug the black one and plug in the top one what would happen? Should i try it or would it mess up my computer??
If it means anything at all when my computer had 98 on it my borther put XP on and my dad complained and made him put 98 back. Maybe my bro had not installed XP but just used a different harddrive. Just thinking though.
