watched MTV scars and have fear now

I been skateing for a while now, my skill lvl is intermediate i guess, i can do every basic flip trick clean and down stairs.

Lately i been wanted to push myself and move on to 12 stairs+ since i last set i did was a 11.

I watched scars and how young kids who made minor mistakes and ollieing 12 staris or so and almost killing them selfs, i really dont want to fall due to say a rock or something dumb and get a plate in my leg.

how do people deal with that type of fear? these people on scars are doing pro type things yet they are basicly made out of metal with all the surgery and crap due to them falling. or is what is filmed a very small percent and very low chance of stuff like that happing?

If you feel scared or not ready, you probably aren't. Just relax and evaluate whether you are skillfull enough and in the right state of mind to complete that trick. You'll know. Also, don't watch those shows, man. I never watched Scarred before I started skating and I damn sure won't watch it now. All MTV shows you is the injury. They don't explain the other things that might have caused it.

Never watch that show again. Same thing happened to me but it was with a 2 set ( don't laugh! lol) Now I can do 5.

Just scream "DO IT!!" if that helps, or you can perform OCD Rituals like Reynolds which I don't recommend.
