I hear lots of good talk about these shoes, if they are THAT good I'm interested in getting some.

i hate vulcanized shoes. they are just thinner and grippier for more board feel and control. but the die really quick and make your feet hurt like a mo fo.

If you want shoes to last you more than a month, vulk really isn't for you. I love vulk shoes. Skate reallly good, super grippy, awesome flick. They don't bother my feet that much, just have to get bolts. If you are like me and skate shoes till they have maybe 2 or 3 holes, not completely demolished, I say go for vulk shoes. You would get a few weeks out of a pair for sure. I have some TNT 2 ready to be skated right after my DVS Revivals, which are really good as surprised I am to say. TNT 2 are absoultly amazing. Very comfortable, skate awesome and are fairly durable for vulk. Any Lakai selects are amazing aswell.

i dont like my lakai carrol selects. they have been lasting me for quite a while (with some shoe goo) but they arent very comfy IMO.

Do you like large padded shoes for the most part? Vulk shoes is just something you grow into and get used to. I used to say the same thing as you, but I had a few pairs and ended up loving them by the end.

vulcanization, when it comes to skate shoes and most shoes, is basically just a different way of building the shoe. its all about the sole.

a vulcanized shoes sole (the part under your foot) is a flat slab of rubber. then you have the upper (the suede or leather or whatever) and the outsole (the rubber part of the sole thats on the side of the shoe). with a vulcanized shoe, the sole is attached to the upper by wrapping a strip of rubber (outsole) around, with the bottom half attached to the sole and the top half attached to the shoe material. they also almost always add a strip of rubber around the front of the shoe on the outsole thats textured.

it ends up in a thinner, grippier shoe.

I skate whatever the ****. I just don't have enough money of my own to buy shoes every month, but right now I have 3 pairs of Nike's, so If I get a pair of Vulc's then atleast I'll have other shoes for backup.
I'll give it a shot, thanks for the info.

The only part of vulcanized shoes i dont like is that there really grippy on the first day, but other than that there great.

It also helps if you add another insole, more padding is better

es square ones are great vulcanized shoes. i've only had 2 pairs of vulcanized shoes, those, and emerica francis. i hated the francis, but i had them a while ago, so i'm sure if i got them again i'd like them. they ripped fast, and i dunno i just didn't like the vulcanized feeling, but square ones lasted me like 2 months. they were great. i always want vulcs but i always end up getting bulky shoes, or just non-vulcs. i dunno, i guess it's just looks. vulcs look good sometimes and non-vulcs look good sometimes.

my soles lasted me a decent amount of time, like over a month, possibly 2. the thing i love about vulcanized shoes is how i, and most people skate them. like, with non-vulcs when you flick a kickflip, eventually after time passes the toe cap wears down and rips. but with vulcanized shoes you like flick off the outsole, or like the rubber below the toe cap, so it lasts like forever. while i had my square ones the suede didn't rip at all. it was great. i need another pair..

a month is a durable shoe.... damm.. If they dont last 6 months (shoe goo included) they suck to me. Emerica's are doin fine, and Globe too, but those Es Vulcanised just seem to go like butter. They Skate hella good though.

I used to skate only non-vulcs. Then someone introduced me to the square ones. My life changed after that...
