It doesn't matter how long you've been skating, how good of a skater you are... do you enjoy skateboarding? Then you're the best skateboard you could possibly be. Simple.

I know a guy who'se Skated for 5 years, and cant do much at all.. I been for 2 years, and can do a stack of stuff.. but the important thing is if you like it, not how good you should be. I'm sure I can out 50-50 you, and out Ollie to Manual you, but you can prooly do more sets than me. Who gives a shit? This is Skatebrding, my friend, not some worn out cliche where everyone should be at a certain level by a certain time.

i kno people who skates for a long time but their attitude sucks and the bad thing is theyre really good at skating
and i've known people who's not that good at skating but is humble and just having fun
and they've been skating for like the same amount of time
i think the one who's not that good is a better skater than the other one, its just because he's happy of what he's doing, cruise around do manny's and stuff

I've been skating for two years now, and I can only; Ollie (it's pretty high for a kid my size), pop shuv, fakie pop shuv, 180, and half-cab. I've been working on heel-flips since the beginning, but I still love the feeling of skateboarding, and I dont' really think it matters how long you've been skating. Some people just have natural skill, others don't and need to work at it. Who cares if you've been skating for almost a year and you can do every trick in the book. It's if you enjoy it that matters bro.

Damn I wish everyone, not just mods can put quotes in their sigs, because I'd put that in my sig.

What happens when you try to put quotes in your sig? I haven't heard anything of users losing their ability to quote in sigs.

It says you may not use [QUOTE] tags in sigs.

It took me a year to land my first kickflip, then a couple months after that first kickflip down a 3 set, then half a year later (now I think) I can land tre flips off loading docks, switch heelflip, switch varial flip, umm.. other than its pretty basic stuff like 180's and shuv its, i got bs flips but not fs flips..
I'm coming up on 2 years in like a month or two.. but once you land those first kickflips, everything starts to come to you so much easier and faster.
IMO, kickflip was my hardest trick to ever learn

yeah thats not bad but dont worry about how good you are. I know this one dude who has been skating for 5 years and he can only do the basics plus a heelflip and bs heels and inwards he cant heel varial or any kickflip tricks. but he has the best time ever skating

It's all about love man. Like Chris Cole said "It's a strange phenomenon, how a piece of wood and a turning system has made so many people so happy". Chris Cole is what love is all about. He split it pelvis trying to 3 flip Wallenburg. He still went on to try it until he landed.
