This is the most important part of the kickflip. And if you do it wrong, the kickflip wont turn out right. So i'll show you how it is done.

Positioning.-You're going to wanna put your front foot at a 45 degree angle. So it should be pointing at the concave (also known as the Pocket, the part of the deck that curves upward) so it will flip right.

The pop. This is the easy part. just ollie high. YOU MUST POP BEFORE YOU FLICK! That is the important part.

The Flick. The complicated part. Like i said, pop before flick. I know this trick is called kickflip, you really don't want to kick it. Or else it will shoot forward. Flick at the pocket. (This is where the foot positioning comes in.) The flick should be a rolling motion. Do not flick the nose.

Landing it. You need your front foot to come back. Duh. Make sure your front foot is out of the way when it is flipping. But keep your front foot close to the board. When you see the grip tape come back around, put your front foot on it. Land and roll away. (Don't freak out after you land it, Act like you landed it plenty of times.)

Anybody need more help, post it. Thanks.

I actually put my front foot pretty straight.

Yeah, some people find there own way to kickflip. I tried it, its to hard for me.
Some people do heelflips by putting their feet in the kickflip position, too.

I like mine just a bit pointed toward the nose - this way I get a clean, horizontal flick.

I got 12 Kickflips in a row today without really trying.... sorry, I had to tell someone. I found that learning Ollie to 50-50's made learning Kickflips soo much easier. Dunno why though.

I find the heelflip flick a bit easier. Yesterday, i was trying the fs 180 heelflip, and it was much easier than a fs kickflip. Kickflips look as easy as hell. But if you concentrate really hard, you are most likely to mess up. So its easier if you don't try to think about it so much.
