trucks:Destructo 5.0 Low Black/black (Set of 2)
bearings:Bones Reds Bearings Single Set

Do not get element. Almost will be okay. But dont get a board that is too fat. My first board was a flip, i wouldn't have an expensive board just yet. Just a simple one.

ya but i really just want i nicely made light board don't really care about cost

cordell

I would've bought a heavier board. They are easier to control.
not too heavy. just whatever board fits you the most.

Don't worry about weight, you'll get used to it, and you end up being better. You shouldn't need an anorexic deck to be able to ollie high. When I first got my first complete, it weighed like a tonne, and now, a year later, it feels like nothing to me.

Please try not to make two threads about the same topic, I already posted something in your other thread so check there.

lol sorry bout that but the reason im worried about weight is i've been practicing on some kmart board i found and it just feels retarted to me and other boards that are lighter that i've messed around with feel so much better

btw the reason i posted 2 threads is nobody wuz viewing the begginers forum so i just posted on the other one cuz it had to do with boards

p.s. why shouldn't i get the element i kno that theyre make crappy boards but every review of that board wuz good i found the board at blackholeskateboards.com (i think)

lol greenday did u quote someone on ur signature cuz ive seen a post that said the same thing

oops i mean www.blackholeboards.com

are there any other good brands (i really kinda want a light board i h8 heavy boards for some reason)

lol anyone else want to give me some tips I need to know some other good boards

P.S. can the fact im sk8ing on a K-Mart piece of krap be contributing to my ollies coming up short

I think heavy boars get more pop. There is thin really light board from almost, called almost Mullen experimental, with uber light. But its really expensive.

wakeboardinpwnz
09-29-2007, 04:48 AM
i would get that but the most i feel like spending is 150 on the setup and those decks start at 99 trucks would be like 40 and wheels 25 um and the rest would add like 25 with grip tape bearings and stuff so that would be
190 and im just don't feel like spending that much cuz i need to buy a new laptop and some 360 games

You'd get more fun out of skateboarding then some lousy games.

wakeboardinpwnz
09-29-2007, 05:06 AM
lol ya but i can still have just as much fun on a 150 dollar skateboard than a 190 dollar skateboard rit? as i remember from when i skateboarded as long as u were having fun who gave a shit about ur board

wakeboardinpwnz
09-29-2007, 05:07 AM
btw when i skated i never really bought a good board i just always "bored without asking" my friends board (i think it was a birdhouse)

I'd get the first complete, but if you're that worried about weight, you can switch the Indy's for the Thunders.

lol greenday did u quote someone on ur signature cuz ive seen a post that said the same thing

Haha ya, originally posted by mcwatt, but I was limited to only 170 letters so I couldn't put that.:-3:*(actually I just wanted to take credit for the awsome post, but lets just keep that between us two ok?:-3: )*

Can you PLEASE stop double, triple and even Quad posting?

Don't worry about your first board, anything should do really. I started out with a Walmart and moved on up to a Flip. Your Beginner board is exactly that, a beginner board. Not much stuff you'll be able to do anyways, it's just to learn the basics.

I recommend a Habitat though.

But his first deck in gonna last a while, so you might as well get a good high quality deck then, than having to spend more money later on another deck. I've had the same deck (toy machine, soon to be retired) for a year now, if I got an element instead of a Toy Machine, I would've been stuck with it for a year now, which would've sucked.

You can still get them, there isn't that much difference between 7.65 and 7.75, and most trucks made for 7.75 decks are actually 7.65 trucks.
