View Full Version : Totally Beginner Setup From SW

This will be my first skateboard.i dunnow anything at skating.im gonna learn :P

ermm.now i looked at SW and clicked on a Flip deck and it prepared me a complete board.is it good or bad for a beginner? shall i change the things?

that setup looks pretty good, but let me make some changes to it.

First, get different trucks. it's not that royal doesn't make good trucks, but get some independent stage nine lows. they are the best trucks i've ever ridden, so i recommend them.
Second, i suggest you get a SW blank or a mini logo or even speed demons deck. because if you don't like skating, then you spent an extra 20 bucks on a graphic deck, rather than one of those. flips are good decks though.
Third, get some better bearings. speed demons bearings and HKD abec 5's are the same price as the halo bearings, but are better. WAY better.

Everything else is fine, but i do prefer jessup over true grits:-3: . and make sure you have SW assemble it for you, because it is a lot cheaper. hope that helped.

Actually, I recon thats a good setup, I'd buy it. Just for beginning, you cant go wrong with it, its plain and simple.
