This is my first thread as you can probaly tell.

I was just wondering how to land kickflips flat on the ground, when i flick it around i do a perfect flick, but my backfoot isn't coming up high enough, and voila. I land in a manual or on the tail, everytime i kickflip a 2 stair i land in a manual and people are like "did you mean to do that?" and it gets really annoying.
:-8:
Thank you!

You have to have all your wieght on your front foot, and know weight on you back foot. And you have to just try and bring your back foot up.

Hang your flicking foot off the edge more.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I didn't see the necessity to start another kickflip thread...

Anyways, I had a quick question. When I try to kickflip, the board tends to land in front of me. Based on what I've gleaned from other threads, its supposedly because my front foot is kicking the board out in front of me. I'm sure its true and I think its definitely because I don't have the flicking motion down, but right now my goal is just to stay over the board.

So what I did was when I popped the board, I jumped off a bit differently than how I would do my ollies. I pushed off the board upwards and forwards so my body sailed forward above and along with the board. The result was the board landing underneath me, upside down and my feet on the sides of the board. Am I supposed to jump forward with the board like that or is that a bad habit?

^^^ whatever it takes to land it, just do it. you will learn how to get it better later on in skating.
