uhh, you dont? Thats what I tell those lil fools at the Skatepark to do when they kick out. Kicking out is for Ollie Kickflips, try learning them kicking down first, although it hurts your knees after a while.

Once you pop, hit it straight down (not out at all), and it'll spin underneath you, and not out in front of you.

Once you're comfortable on them, try Ollieing, then sliding your foot off in the exact same way.

what the heck. that is the worst advice i've seen in a long while.

he says he wants to STOP kicking down, so why are you telling him to continue...?

look, treat your kickflip more like an ollie, but instead of just sliding up, slide up, and flick out. that's how i do my kickflips. and i have the highest kickflips out of all of my friends.

just practice the front-foot-flick with your front foot. i mean, like, just do the kickflip motion and flick out, but just try to get your front foot back on the board. disregard your back foot. that's how i learned how to get my kickflips higher.

I posted a thread on how to flick a kickflip around here somewhere.
Why don't you go read it?

you do sorta have to flick down, and out also... because you need pressure to flip it... and not making it roll off your foot but having pressure flicking it also...

wlll the thing is your feet can't go under the board.
So as long as your feet don't do that then its okay to flick down

Try flicking exactly off to the side. You don't have to think of it like an ollie. Try ignoring everything that everyone says about how to flick diagonally and out.. Just try and flick exactly off to the side from where your foot is placed. 90 degree angle (perpendicular) as you can from the side of the board. Don't worry about getting them high when you start.
