For a week or more now i've just been hacking away at this trick, I think I've found every way NOT to do a frontside smith. I've gone from being completely scared to attempt the trick, to missing the back truck on the rail and either totally not getting on the rail, or going into a lipslide. At one point I even started doing F/S 50-50's. Then, I started getting the back truck on and then the nose would just dive and i'd go flying forward.

All of these problems i've been able to fix except for one: the landing. I get on the rail, and i'm grinding away, but when the rail ends, the board either turns 90 degrees frontside, making me land sideways, or it just does a half flip and I land on it upside down, sometimes a combination of both. This seems to be happening pretty consistantly, and I don't know what to do. Help, anyone?

Learn BS feebles first, they're so much easier.

I kinda lean back a bit and put some pressure on the tail, and tense all the muscles in my legs. I think if you put pressure on the tail, the nose comes up a bit, then you have more control on the landings.. it works for me. I hate the way you always get to the bottom of rails/hubba's then loose control ay?

because a back feeble is the same motion as a front smith just you come from the other side of the rail.

Is a back feeble really easier than a front smith? I thought you kinda needed to know how to back 5050 to do those. And I haven't learned those that well yet.
