Well, it's close to Christmas and I picked out a whole new setup. Usually I buy a new deck here and there and throw my old trucks on, and go from there, but not this time.

So far I have figured out this much...

Almost Mullen Syntax deck. It says Resin-8 by it, and I need a strong board, but not one of them uber lites. I also am liking the Mullen Impact deck, but I was wondering what the stronger one would be.

I usually skate GrindKing or Tensors and havn't had a problem with any of them. I like the way the Tensor Responses look, any opinions on that? I might try out the Destructo lows or mids.

Wheels.....I'm not decided on that but I like the Ricta Rodrigo TX cores. I have speed demon wheels right now that I love, but they are getting worn down from so much skating.

Bearings..Bone reds possibly?

Finish it off with Destructo Hardware and Black Magic grip tape.

I also have a pair of DVS Bexleys coming in the mail:D

For the deck: I love the almost resin 8 decks. I'm actually thinking about trying the impact ones out too, but from what my friends have told me, they aren't that different from the regular resin 8's. If not, I'd go with a Habitat or Real.

For the trucks: The guys at my shop say the tensor response are the best trucks out there. I prefer indy's over any other truck, so I'd go with indy's.

The wheels and bearings are fine.
Hope that helped.

I am currently skating the destructo lows, and they havent given me any problems, even on kinks and hard concrete there barely wearing away.

deck- zoo york, habitat/aws, girl/chocolate, dgk/expedition/organika, i guess toy machine/foundation, and this time i'm saying no to deluxe. i've had 2 reals. i had 1 in the summer, tail snapped the first day i got it, on a front board on a rail at a park, not a full snap, but a big crack, and then i got one and it was a week old and i snapped it on a del mar indy off a spine, same park, but same thing, just a big crack. i don't know what's up with them. like i know they are good but they just aren't to me.

trucks- indys. the best.

wheels- anything

bearings- reds are great.

grip- anything

hardware- the cheapest

That sucks.

I have a huge phobia of getting a defected deck, and it sucks. You can't get your money back. Me and my buddy got the same Foundation on the same day, and what was funny is that we swapped just for the hell of it. And his broke literally the first Kickflip he tried. Just snapped right where the tail starts.

So I guess Deluxe isn't the problem, it's your luck.

Decks : Habitat,Foundation,5Boro
Trucks: I used to rock Venture, they are heavy though. Indy's/Krux FTW
Wheels: Rictas
Bearings: Reds or Swiss
Grip: Jessup
Hardware: Who cares?

ventures are lighter than indys and krux, the weight from lightest to heaviest is actually venture -> krux -> indys, but that's beside the point.

and when you think about it, don't worry about it. i mean, so what it snaps. the world isn't over. i used to be like that like so careful and shit, and now i just buy a deck, even if it's $60, and i just skate it without caring at all. if it breaks, it breaks, and eventually you'll get a new one.
