It plays CS smoothly and WoW...alright...

Is there any way I can upgrade it to play wow more smooth and halo 2 and gears of war? Gears of war wouldn't even open when I tried to install it, halo 2 will but it has the whole really bad laggy effect...

can anyone help?

A computer store.

Your processor isn't really that good. You could really do with a better graphics card too. Laptops aren't made to play games and when they are they do it badly.

First off, it's Laptop. Not Labtob.

Secondly, as Dave said, Laptops are the best choice for gaming. That is, unless you have some supped up Alienware laptop, that brings desktop gamers to their knees.

Thirdly, your best solution is to buy a new computer. What you are looking for is something around these specs:

2.4-2.6 ghz Dual Core processor
Nvidia 8000 series and above Graphics Card.
2 gigs of ram with a FSB of 800mb and above.
A motherboard with a FSB (front side bus) of 800 mb and above, the higher the better.

Also, a sound card couldn't hurt.

Well, all I want to do is: Halo 2, map editor. WoW. CS if possible.

I don't need all the new stuff.... What about that?

Upgrading a laptop is a lost cause. For the money you'll pay, it's better to get a desktop.

Does your letter p on your keyboard prohibit you from typing ___top?
And yeah, the desktop will be better than the laptop.

You don't need to get an Alienware. The specs I listed can easily be done for 500 bucks, granted you know who to buy from and how to put a computer together.
Frig though, you can easily get a computer, already done up like that, with monitor and OS, for 1k.

And just upgrade the video card. You can put a decent card in for what you want to do for less then 200 (somewhere around that, US, I assume).

Btw, can a mod please change the name of this thread to Laptop Help...

I totally agree, but many people don't know how.
It's way easier then you would think though, especially in this day and age. The hardest part is the processor, and that is pretty easy.
