internet vs Firefox

Ok heres the thing..
1. Iv'e been wandering what is the difference between the Internet and Firefox
2. Another is if I were to play games wich would I choose FireFox or the Internet?

I'm not that bright when it comes to computers so I'd appretiate very much if some one can explain briefly.

Firefox is another way to get to the internet.
Firefox is just a browser, another way to access the internet, just like Internet Explorer, Safari and many others.

Yep. Better security, better interface compared to the new IE version too. It's better at translating html, but i don't suppose that means anything to you. Basically, it's easier to make sites with firefox in mind.

Firefox is just another way to access the web in the same way that a Porche is another way to get from A to B.

Only downside is that many programmers make sites that you can access only with IE (mostly online banking sites).

umm, i think when he says internet, he means internet explorer, most people are just used to callind it internet. but between firefox and explorer, sidvan just pretty much covered it all

Faster, safer, and has a better overall feel aswell.

The customization and tabs and such are far better aswell.

By the way, as far as customization goes....when I try to install an add-on, I go to the Add-ons box under Tools, and it says that they will be installed when I restart Firefox, but whenever I restart it, it says the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Yeah, once you Restart it it should be installed.

But yeah, I had no idea you meant internet as internet explorer, my bad dude.
But yeah Mozilla has to be one of the best browsers.
The one and only thing I can think of off the top of my head that needs to be changed, or I wish would be changed is the font style or whatever you want to call it, I'd like it more if it looked like safari's.

Oh and also, for some reason my firefox keeps crashing when I go to google images and click on an image :mad:

mozilla= better anti-virus and anti-popup etc. My mate never used anti-virus till I installed it on his computer (he's on it 24/7) and he didnt have one virus.

I used maxathon because it kicks firefoxes arse. its much faster on this shit computer I own. Only the ctrl + f pisses me off..

open it in safe mode, mess around for a bit, and then restart it regularly. you might have to make the changes again but if firefox won't customize, your best bet is to boot it up in safe mode to "clear the system."

Umm, sorry about the confusion, but he is right I did mean I.E. And now I know FireFox has alot more high quality ratings. But one more question does the firefox scan every download you attempt? or do you have to find your own scanner again? If so can some one please tell me where I can find one because I don't like viruses. :-14:
