Hi! New to Ramprage... Old-timer to skateboarding

Hi members of ramprage. I'm new here but not new to skateboarding. I used to skateboard about 10 years ago. I don't know why I gave it up, but it's something that I really regret doing. Skateboarding was probably the best thing that I was ever great at. Withing a year, I was doing nollie half-cab kickflips and 360 flipping of ledges. I should've never stopped...

Well, I snowboard now. However, I really want to get back into skateboarding too. Something to do other than regular sports for the summer-time. Yet, I won't be doing anything crazy like I did when I was a young teen (ollieing down large ledges or doing flights of stairs).

when you're 13-14 years-old and your parents didn't support you skateboarding, doesn't help. especially when breaking boards every 2-3 weeks!!! and back in that era when skateboards were a specialty item and were really expensive doesn't help either.

my friends used to feel sorry for me and would just outright give me their boards. i had a friend of a friend that i barely knew gave me his complete set of bearings because he wanted to see me skate.

i often thought about where i'd be if i had support... sponsored and making vidz. sad sad.
and breakdancing was the "in" thing at the time so i just did that afterwards. how lame :-11: i got good at that too though haha
