What are they used for?? I found some risers in the gutter and put them on my skateboard. It seams kinda pointless, it doesnt feel like they do anything.
So, Should i use them or not?

They make your ride higher. Lets say you have low trucks, but you want mid or high trucks, but you don't have the money. Just put on some $5 risers and Bam! you have mid or high trucks.

They also help prevent pressure cracks, and destribute the shock from your trucks against your board more. Shock pads (soft risers) are also supposed to make your ride smoother.

Thanks
are your trucks supposed to be tight or loose or does it even matter?

^^ how u want them. but if you have em mad loose, risers help you avoid wheel bite this tiny little bit.

I heard their used so you can ride higher and so your wheels don't rub on the bottom of your board.

Risers are totally personal preferance. Some folks dig 'em some don't even use 'em.

They are an automatic necessity for board clearance for me because I'm skating 60mm wheels with moderately loose trucks.

^^ the longer it takes to pop, the more time u have to put power into the tail though?
