launch ramp

there's this 4ft launch ramp at vans and when i kickflip or do any grabs there only like 1ft of the ground so they kinda suck, yet when we set up 3 decks i could kickflip it and melon grab over them. on flatland i can only kickflip 1(almost 2) and ollie 2. what am i doing to get this high and how can i do without the decks?:confused:

its all mental. i do the same thing, if theres something i like have to clear then i end up popping higher. but if theres nothing there then i cant force myself to go that high.
