Ok last May I bought a LG GSA-4040BA (http://www.itp.net/reviews/details.php?id=1924).
After that I bough a whole new computer and never put my burner back in. Last week I decided to start burning movies so I reinstalled the burner, and last night burned American Gangster. It worked fine. Now, I goto burn Saw 4, and it spent a good 20 minutes trying to format the DVD, no good. I tried again, but it didn't even reconize I had a DVD in there, or even had a DVD drive installed on my computer. Restarted my computer, opened it up and fiddled with cords, tried getting new firmware but LG's site ****ing sucks. Now normally, I wouldn't be in such a fritz about this, however I installed my cousins Vista trial and it's got 2 days left. I was planning on burning a private OS I have been checking out, because I don't have my windows XP disk anymore, but its not possible seeing as I can't ****ing burn anything. So basically I have two days to fix this before my computer gets turned into a paperweight that I can't do any thing about.
