So right now my computer is painfully slow. My harddrive is about 32GB, I have 512MB RAM, although I for some reason have a 2gHz Pentium 4 CPU... anyways. I am looking into buying a whole new computer. I know everyone always says building it is cheaper. I have assembled computers before so it is an option. But I really don't know what I should buy in terms of building my computer from scratch.
I found this on newegg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883107622
My limit is 500 bucks. I don't want to be saving up all year for this so...
If anyone could link to parts that would make an equal or greater computer for 500 or under that'd be great.

Very good place to look.
In my opinion and from what I see that looks like a great buy....I think
If you want since I have a lot of free time right now, I could try and look for other ones for you to see if there's anything as good or better.

Thats a 64 bit system. Thats a big nono. Right now it would cause you a whole load of problems.
That setup also has only on-board graphics, so that basically means bybebye shiny things.
Wouldn't really bother with that thing. I'd gladly help you pick a pc, but being British, i have no idea what would be classed as a good price in the US.

Yeah I'd probably get a cheap gfx card to go along with it.
Also.... 1 British pound = 2 Canadian dollars, roughly.

Its not the convertion rate, its what its worth if ya get me.
For example i went on a Canadian skate shop and they were charging $47.99 for a deck. That converts to £23. Even though the same deck here would've cost £60.
Btw im not trying to be patronising.

Not related to the thread but I'm just wondering if Newegg will ship to Canada, and for what prices.
