Well, first of all...do a search on posts'. If nothing comes up, post. I don't know if you found anything, but here goes. I had the same problem in my, eh, first month of heelflips. What I found my problem was, is I was kicking my foot off the board, not getting any flip...or getting only half a spin, and the board would go vertical. Something that helps me with that problem, is moving my front foot up the board. For example, my normal heelflip position, is my ollie position..with my front foot right in front of the front truck bolts. That helps for getting nice flat heelflips. I think a big tip, is to lean toward (towards the nose of the board), and be sure to kick hard. Much as if you were ollieing, you have to level the board out. Since your foot can't stay with the board the whole time like an ollie, you have to get it right from the beginning, or else it's doomed. Good luck.

just put your feet in a basic ollie position, pop your tail and keep your eye on the corner of the board were you flick your foot and then heel off, helps me and im prety good at heelflips

I can land heelflips but when i dont my board goes straight up my booty. I'm beginning to worry about my boards sexuality.

LMAO... if it does that then it means that you are poping a lot harder and you arnt flicking your foot out to start the spin...
