i find leaning back a bit helps, bend ur back leg and keep ur front leg straightish! works for me, but i cant do long ones.

i know a lot of people (even me) started learning nosemanuals with ur front foot on the nose and ur abckfoot on the tail...put your front foot covering the 2 bolts closest to your nose and ur back foot looking the same on the back bolts...and practice

Don't lean forward to much and keep your weight centered. Practice is the most sucessful key to it.

Everyone always critizes me, cause I can nose manual a LOT farther than I can manual, oh well. I always think of nose manuals as sort of...building a platform to ride on- as weird as that sounds. I put my front foot on the nose, back foot a little in front of the back truck bolts..and then stay centered over the front truck, and let my feet lift the board up. So basically, I let my feet do the balancing, so if I get off balance, I can just move my upper body a bit, and regain the balance. I've been working on heelflip nose manuals (or was until I screwed my trucks up..), so that I could heelflip into a nose manual on something, then nollie shove it out. I always thought that'd look cool...and the nose manual part, I use the 'platform' thing I mentioned here. It might work for you, might confuse the hell out of you. Give it a shot...good luck.
