what do i need to put my vids on the comp, edit them and upload them to kraan for ur guys viewings????? I think sean or craig could answer this wit ease.

i take it your american?
if so go on a shopping website (www.amazon.com perhaps?) and look for a firewire cable and a firewire port. Might cost you around 100$.
When you got them you'd mostly lykly have to install the port into the back of your pc (pci slot me thinks) and then conect ya cam to the port via the cable, get a program to capture and away you go..


I dunno thats a guess i dont have a minidv im deprived

whats a pci slot, what does it look like,and where is it?i just got a new comp so is there a chance that it has a firewire port and if so what does it look like?im kinda a newb when it comes to filming :( sorry if this is a pain.

its small and kinda looks like a usb but it has an indent kinda i really cant explain it but most likely your computer doesnt have one i got one on my laptop because i got it for editing so thats all it is, small very small

BlindSk8er, go with what Bret said, stick with Sony or Canon. I have a Panasonic, selling it soon. Also, a PCI slot is a slot in the back of your computer where you stick a Firewire card, graphics cards, etc.
