Well I found a guide over the internet somewhere and decided to revise it a little and post it here. Hope you like it!
What you will need:
- Gulf Wax (or a candle)
- Olive Oil
- Vaseline
- Crayons (if you want to add color to the wax)
- Tin Can (a soup/bean can will work just fine)
- Empty deodorant stick/mold (optional)
Step 1
Take your Gulf Wax and Crayons. With a sturdy knife, start chopping them into little pieces. Once your Gulf Wax pieces are about the size of sugar cubes, start dicing them in little shreds of wax (the littler they are the easier/faster it will melt). Now put your little diced up pieces of crayon and wax into the tin can.
Step 2
Once you have done that, add a little olive oil and vaseline (NOT TOO MUCH! adding too much will make your wax very oiley and it will melt in you hand, trust me). Once you have added those, take your tin can and put it on top of the stove and turn the stove on the about halfway between low and medium. Let it slowly melt while sturing it at verious times so the oil does not settle to the bottom.
Step 3
Once it is completely melted (as in a liguid state), pour the wax into a mold/deodorant bottle and let it sit for around 15 minutes (do not put it in the freezer right away or else it will crack). Once it looks semi solid, put it in the freezer for 1-2 hours.
Step 4
Now take it out. Your wax should be solid by now. In order to get it out of the mold, take a blowdryer to the bottom of the mold till the wax is loose enough to take out without breaking. As for the deodorant stick, just take a blowdryer to it until it loosens up. After all, you don't want to take it out of the deodorant container.
Step 5
Go outside and shred some ledges with your new Wax!
Thank you for reading this guide! Remember it may take a couple of trys to make really good wax, so don't get frustrated if your first wax is not perfect.
Cheers!
