hi, it's my first year snowboarding, i've gone a few times (too little) and can so far manage a method air and a backside 180 (about 6 times out of the **** many times i tried, no grabs of course). I already have the hang of riding but i find it VERY hard on bumpy snow (after a load of skiers have gone over it) and after about 3 hours my right upper leg starts hurting (i think i might be leaning back a bit too much, i'm a goofy)

the only trully cool time i remeber i've had was when it started hailing and all the other people ran for cover in the lodge so the slope was left all to myself, that was the day when i managed my first 180 with a busload of girls watching me(but then i wiped out, they laughed, they left)

the slopes here suck because there's very few snowboarders so no parks halfpipes or jumps and seeing as i have to make my own jumps they're very small, like the ones in the photos in the gallery of this forum, any suggestions? please help!

I don't understand your question.... sounds like you are progressing nicely...If its only your first year, I would suggest you spend more time learning to handle all conditions on the mountain before you learn all sorts of tricks.

i wanted to see if anyone has a problem with their back leg or any other difficulties like mine and give some advice on how they're coping

your back leg hurts? if thats the problem, the only thing you gotta do is get out on the hill and ride as much as you can. you gotta get used to the way a snowboard works, which is INCREDIBLY hard on your legs (knees) until you get used to it.
when my back leg starts to hurt on the way down the mountain, mostly durning sick powder days, i just slow down a bit and start m***aging it until the muscle pain/cramp goes away.

If your back leg hurts, it's because it's not strong enough, but with practice you'll build there muscles and it wont hurt anymore ;)

it's all about devetotion. i go to the mountain whenever i can and when i do i snowboard for at least 3&1/2 hours, until it gets incredibly painful to turn, and bananasoup, i m***age my leg too but it still hurts after a coupla turns, it cramps up and i have to wait till i slow down to releive it

maybe your bindings arent in a very comfortable way for your stance mr.demon. try some different angles and see if any are more comfy...
