Your Favourite Movie (2003 Edition)

I'd like to know what's your favorite movie, and why.

Mine's "Leon"....a 1994 movie from a french director, though an american movie, with Jean Reno and Natalie Portman (her first movie). I really beleive that's the best movie ever done for many reasons, including the depth of character, rock-solid story, nice action and it's kind of a weird movie, I wouldnt say "sentimental", but it really makes you feel weird. I've seen 2 versions of it so far, one is the commercial one, that came out on theater, the other one is the director's cut (they had to cut a lot of scenes to make is acceptable for the public), and I've read the original script, wich is more violent and is more axed on the love between Leon and Matilda (2 main characters). The original version wasnt accepted because of those main reasons, and Natalie Portman's parent didnt want her to play in a really violent movie, that's why on some scenes of the movie she shoots paintballs on people instead of real bullets like on the original.

i liked taxi 1&2 the french comedy about cars, also liked doberman, the french violence gangsta movie, kukushka, a russian movie about russo finnish front in the second world war, lock stock and two smoking barrels, 28 days, johnny english(much better than austin powers cause it wasn't another top gun rippoff).............basically i like anything with a big budget and not hollywood, cause hollywood actors are spoilt. with european films, the actors have to WORK, and the humour is smarter thus funnier, u won't find the same joke in two movies either

AIRPLANE! NOW THAT IS FUNNY SHIT!, They have some of the audio from it in the P J Ladd film , you know when you can hear that woman all "cut me some lack jack" or woteva, well the scene is two black guys talkin all lyke they do and the air stuardess cnt understand em and sum old bid-e comes up and ses its ok i speak their language, then she says the stuff u hear on p j ladd,
god i fluckin love that film!

Bruce Almighty is great too! Anything with Jim Carrey i love

i like all the action films like fast and the furious or the new one coming out 2 fast 2 furious,xXx,die another day,windtalkers,pearl harbor,thunderheart,lord of the rings all the good ones and i love vampire movies like queen of the damed.

leslie nielsen is my favorite actor of all time, i've seen every single movie that he's in. Most of them over 5 times. Dracula dead and loving it is like my favorite movie of all time. You should check out spy hard if you like those type of satire movies. I think its funny.

I love interview with a vampire, good movie. You have to follow it a lot, and it seems like there was some sexual tension between tom cruise and brad pitt, they looked like they just could have been a gay couple.

i feel sorry for them because they have to suck on guys' necks about 5 times in that movie.

i think i've seen akira a few times i just don't remember the name..is it the one where he like gets a mechanical arm and in the end he's like growing in a disgusting way, devouring everything around him?

i've also seen princess mononoke which is cool and that anime movie about hiroshima, i also used to watch dragon ballz all the time when it was on....japanese cartoon have a habit of getting really imaginative, deep, pretty, disgusting and vulgar don't they? they're more like cartoons for grownups cause of so much feeling in them

the Child Play movie are good, but the bad thing about horror flims is that they take it too far by making too many of them.

Nightmare on Elm Street has atleats 10 i think and Friday the 13th has 10 and i just think they take it too far.

now Hellraiser, theres about 6 or so of them out but i cant get enough of pin head. i just love him.

but hey thats just what i think. you may like when movies like that keep repeating basically the same thing over and over again. i just think flim makers need to come up with something else.

No the Transporter is a different flick to The professional (Leon) and about 8 years later too. I almost forgot - Ringo 1 & 2 are really cool films - subtitles yes - but still better than the hollywood version :the ring. The best anime was 'Vampire Hunters' it's manga but still quite good.

leone is the greatest, iv only seen from the part where they kidnap matilda, the part at the end is the best where he drops down for the corrirdoor roof and shoots them all
