Mongo looks disgusting. Oh and for the moron who asked if you skate mongo or just switch you should hang yourself you piece of trash, I laugh at everyone who skates mongo cuz they suck so bad. I know people that can do the best tricks but they make it look terrible pushing gay *** mongo. It makes me sick. Anyone who skates mongo should stop skating it or just straight out quit cuz you're not going to be going anywhere.

i'm with hullo but not to the same extent. Mongo works for some, and it's just what feels comfy for some people. It did for me. It took like 2 weeks to really break the habit. But mongo does tend to look scetchy. Regular looks better, and gives you more time to get in place, so reg. pushers can do more with short run-ups. Mongo may not look as good, but the only effect it has on your skating is your push off and how fast you can get your speed up right away. since your hips and lower body has to be turned more to push mongo it's takes (even if just a second) longer to get in 'position' so it's harder to to short run ups. Because of the way you are pushing the board you don't get as much momentum as you get whilst pushing regular. It's all a matter of physics. If you push mongo, I advise and encourage you to start trying to break the habit.

Yeah, I skate Mongo Regular but I can skate smoother fakie than pretty much anyone else in town. Mongo has a few advantages, but I do wish I would've learned Regular Regular because it looks nicer, and like someone mentioned above, is better for short runups.

I like skated Mongo for a real long time and then some one told me my tricks took longer to learn cos of my stance. When I switched to Regular stance I found It really hard but now I am a good Skater thanks to this kid at a skatepark tellin me about my stance.

yah mongo can be easier for some. was for me. this is going to sound gay but what some people say helps change that is find a scooter and ride it around pushing reg. and after awhile it'll just come natural.
Or just do what i did and push reg. even tho it feels weird. it'll feel natural eventually. but do whatever works for you! be you! do what you do! be you! nothing's better than dr.pepper! ;-)

i started off skating mongo but it looks retarded now i skate normal when regualr and because i started off on mongo it makes it easier to ride normal when switch to if that makes sense, its heaps harder skating mongo when u are going up to something coz u have to adjust your back foot
