Hey all...bad (and good news, I guess) news. First of all, Out of the last 8 days, I've had one day off, so as you can guess, getting online has been hard. On June 25th, I will be moving to Florida, for sure. I'm actually beginning to think somewhat positive about it, since I'll get to skate a bit more, have some nice weather, get nice car, and stuff....and best of all, be with my brother, nephew's and niece...so that'll be cool. Anyways, like I said, been working my arse off lately...but I did get to skate yesterday. "Skate" meaning board, and blade. For those of you who don't know, I began blading when I was about 11 years old...so it's been a part of me for a while. It was a relief to get to skate (both of them...), and I hope I can do that more in Florida this summer, since I won't have to worry about school. Here's what's up, though...

Yeah, it's blading...

Mike, I hope you like it down there. If it's in Tampa, you don't have to worry much, hurricanes rarely come up around Tampa. It's more inward.

Will do, sir. The nice part is, I'm gonna have the internet as I do now, so I SHOULD be on shortly after we move there. We're going June 25th, so I expect that it'll be like....middle July (maybe even late july/early august) when I get online, but at least I'll be able to get on. Not much will be happening then...I'll be working, and skating and spending time with my nephews (spending time with my family, I meant)....so I'll hopefully have plenty of footage. My brother has those SWEET camcorders, and alllllll of the digital video editing tools I'd ever need. Oh, he has a DVD burner, so how's it sound to get a ton of footage over this summer, and make a DVD of it all? hmm...

ok, from what i've seen in ur american movies i would prefer somewhere like north canada, or north alaska(hey, i was born in -40 C temperatures, so cold is MY natural habitat)

It makes sense, I met a couple from Alaska, who drove here...they told me it was an 8 day drive...like 5,000 miles or something crazy. They said here, it seems REALLY hot, and it was only about 40 F...which is chilly for me....

40 F is cold! i could never live in Alaska way too cold for me. but the 6 months od lite and 6 months of darkness sounds good though. i think they have that or sumwhere they do. lol

Since this past year I was really into skating, I skated through the winter. We got some 0 F's...but I was outside skating. My only condition is that it's relatively dry, can't be pouring rain or snow. My opinion: Once it gets below 20 F, then it all feels the same...@!#*)%ing cold!

nacht, the 6 months o dark and 6 months o light are cool, it means the slopes stay open for over 12 hours! and snowboarding in floodlights is cool(unlesa u get blinded by one of them in which case u end up hitting somit)
TwiztidSkater15
06-03-2003, 04:25 PM
why do they have 6 months of lite and 6 months of dark anyways?

i went to tampa two years ago to help my sister move back from college, cause the semestrer had ended. and it was right around the time of the Tampa Pro contest...and the skatepark of tampa was like down the road from tampa university... and i didnt end up going. i was mad......but the weather was kick***. and there were 7-11's everywhere. so it's good.
