Decent pics... hard to see the kicker though. That 180 definatly looks sketchy as hell. You obviously didnt wind up and rotate your head. You don't wear a beenie or helmet when your riding? Thats crazy.

too hot here for beanies, it's usually 2 or 3 C on the mountain and it rarely goes below -2, most of the season i snowboard in a t-shirt or somit

mr.demon, you should set up a rail and start the jib sessions. so much fun, but oh so painful when you bail.
man i cant wait for winter.
only 6 more months till the ski hill opens!! :) :)
gotta start saving up now so i can get the rest of my backcountry gear.

Jib sessions are fun as hell. Snowboarding in a t-shirt is fun too, but I learned my lesson not to. Ripped all the skin off my arm and a bit more, not doing that again.

Jibing is when you grind rails on a snowboard. So in skateboarding it'd be like a handrail session, but in snowboarding it's a jib session. Just when you and some friends(or just you) does a couple or a lot of tricks on a rail in just one session of snowboarding.

depends how high you want your rail. if its your first time ever jibbing a rail, i wouldnt suggest making it too high. thats a good way to smash your head open. you can just make a little pile of snow to start off with and lay the pipe down (securely!) pretty close to the ground until you get the hang of it then make it higher once you feel comfortable.
you wont need to wax the pipe either, youll see why when you try. heh heh. :p

you also have to decide what kind of rail you want to jib. a round or flat one. personally, i like flat rails since they give you a bit more leeway and time to recover if you start to bail.
you can also use a 2x4 if you cant find a rail, just make sure you sand it down a bit or put a tiny bit of water and let it freeze on it to make it slippery. catching your toe edge while boardsliding is not fun, at all.

my only advice for jibbing is to take it slow. its A LOT harder then it looks.

Oh and jibbing rocks, when I have nothing to do after school I usually go and do a jibbing session in town...finding benchparks and rails in parks...I just hope my friend is finally gonna lend me her video camera so I can get some pics and footage.
