About a month ago I sprained my ankle and no matter how hard I try it won't go away. I put ice on it and wear an airkast to school. I can still skate but I can't do flip tricks. Do you think it would be a good idea to just stay off of it and relax until it heals?Because I want to skate but then again I want my ankle to ****ing heal. It is gonna be hard to stay off of it because I have to go to school every day and I walk around all day at school. Any tips on how to heal it? Anybody know how long it will take to heal?

Zac, stay off it until it heals. I pulled my tendon, didn't wait for it to heal completely, and hurt it again, had to wait twice as long. It sucked. Plus it'll be longer for you to get on NA, lol.

wait two or three days then skate cautiously for a little while. don't skate really hard or do big gaps for about a week or longer then it should be getting better. i know how hard it is to stay off my board so just dont go hard on it and watch alot of skate videos

Ice only helps to reduce any serious swelling. What is the actual problem? Is it difficult to flex your foot in all directions? If thats the case... soak your foot in warm water and put some of that A535 stuff on it... its the deep heat kind of stuff. Rub some of that on before you fall asleep and it should feel relaxed in the morning. When you wake up, m***age your ankle and stretch it out. If it starts to swell again, ice it immediatly for 15 minutes, then use heat for 15 minutes, then back to ice for 15, and so on until the swelling stops. Then do what I said up there with the heat rub on stuff before bed. Make sure you m***age and stretch out your ankle every morning and before you skate.

It hurts when I try to flick up for flip tricks. It hurts when I lean on my foot. I've been wearing an airkast for a long time.
