Im building a 1/4 pipe right now... it is going to be 4 foot tall, and 6 feet wide... i just got done with the transitions im useing a 7 foot transition iv found that its my favorite one. cuz they have a 5 foot 6 foot and 7 foot transition one at the local skate park and i like the seven the best its also easier to do lip tricks on it... when i get done with it ill post some pics of it for you!!!!!!

oh while im still whaiting for the saw to charge it cost about 175 in wood it was cheaper than all the websites say it saves alot if you just dont build i large platform on top.... its not really that important unless ur goin to have alot of doods on it!

The platform on top can be the easiest and cheapest part to make. I hope your using two layers of thick ply and possibly a finished third layer. Get some step by step pics and post them.

if i am to make a quarter pipe JUST like his, do i need expensive wood(i am gonna keep it in my garage) i am not gonna keep it outside, and it won't get wet, but does wood really matter that much? i know it does, but what is a good wood that i should use for my first quarter pipe, that won't break easily
